Jazz Band
Jazz Band will begin at the conclusion of marching season. Rehearsals are 6:30-7:05 on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as a few after school rehearsals. The jazz band has the opportunity to play many styles that are not often found in marching and concert bands.
The traditional jazz band consists of saxophones (2 altos, 2 tenors, and 1 bari), trombones, trumpets, and a rhythm section (bass, guitar, piano, vibes, and drum set). Auditions will be held to determine the roster because of the limited instrumentation.
To insure the commitment level needed to prepare for concerts or other performances, there is an attendance requirement:

- no more than 2 unexcused absences
- arriving late = 1/2 of an unexcused absence
